I came across something I find interesting and fascinating in the book of Proverb 24: 30-32
I went by the field of the slothful, and by the vineyard of the man void of understanding. And, lo, it was all grown over with thorns, and nettles had covered the face thereof, and the stone wall thereof was broken down. Then I saw, and considered it well: I looked upon it, and received instruction
I love the latter part of this scripture that says, “I looked upon it and received instruction.”
It matters how you see. The writer was taking a stroll by the vineyard of a lazy man, then he saw how disorganized things were, the stone wall was broken. He said, “I looked upon it and received instruction.” What instruction? …. I am sure he heard a voice telling him never to let his life or vineyard take this pattern.
What voice do you hear as you observe a friend’s business fold up, as a friend narrates the tale of how he was rejected at an interview, as people sit down and complain about the economy of nations?
You must train yourself to see a brighter day anytime a shadow of doubt tries to be cloud your thoughts. And when you happen to stroll by the vineyard of a smart guy, also stop, look upon it and receive instruction and strategy for yours.
