Writing has always been a hobby for me. I love to scribble down my thoughts and my basic perception of life. Lately, I found  myself sketching on paper with my pencil; people’s faces, trees…just about anything that catches my attention.

I had an interesting experience recently while I was about this nascent hobby of mine. This experience got me thinking. I had sketched a man’s face, but I didn’t like the final outcome because the face didn’t look like a happy face. So, I took my eraser, cleaned out the bold facial lines and made it lighter and then I adjusted the cheek bones a little. Voila, my amateur drawing was smiling at me, and I loved it!

This is just how life is, isn’t it? We need to learn the power of erasers: I’m talking about how to let go, how to shut a door and leave it shut. You can always draw another line to your ‘artwork’.

Life is a journey. Enjoy the twists and turns. but start all over again if you have to.

I love the story of Isaac in the Bible. A man with an unstoppable spirit. “…He went from there and dug yet another well” (Genesis 26:20-24). How beautiful to learn the power of going forward and yet digs another well.

Start again if you have to. Fear nothing!
