The work environment has its peculiar challenges; dealing with different characters and human manipulations can be quite exhausting. We live in a wicked world where it is sometimes difficultto tell a friend from a foe.

It is not so easy taking men for their word, especially if you find yourself in situations where people tell blatant lies against you. Meanwhile, both the liar and the victim know the whole truth, but because the liar is so emphatic, everyone believes he is saying the truth about the situation.

Challenging and confronting these sets of people can be a major task. Sometimes, keeping your job depends on your ability to debunk these lies and accusations. We fight every day. We fight to get to the top at work and fight to stay at the top, fight to halt false accusers, and fight to prove our worth and standard.

The things we fight for and fight with can be quite exhausting to list. I do not want to go into all the details because we can neither conclusively exhaust it nor exhaustively conclude it.

I have observed that when men fight these battles at work, school and marketplace, they tend to go home after a hard day’s work with the same fighting attitude. Home is a haven for peace; a place of joy and refreshing. It’s a place where the strength of even the most dedicated and trusted worker is renewed and refreshed.

As you head home from the marketplace, leave the fighting weapons behind. Don’t bring them back home. People fight enemies outside so much that even when they get home; they are quick to pull out the sword whenever they have slight disagreement with a loved one.

STRONG MAN, don’t you know the difference between outsiders and your own folks anymore? There is a saying that everything looks like nails to a man who has a hammer.
